BREAKING NEWS: SCOTTIE TO LEAVE NOVA?

According to my reliable source, Jr. Guard Scott M. Reynolds may be leaving Villanova this year and not returning for his final year of eligibility. I really hope this isn't the case but my source tells me that this information came from a member of the Villanova basketball family. My question is why. Its not like Scottie would be a high draft pick if he were even to be drafted at all. This is certainly a scary situation and I will keep you informed

  1. If this is true, then why are we the ONLY people reporting it?

  2. Because not everybody has my inside info, plus its really just speculation at this point but i have a solid insider source

  3. If you're wrong you're an a-hole

  4. If you're right this will be the most credible piece of information you guys have ever reported..... shame!

  5. Why don't you say who/what the source is? "My reliable source" Haha OK I believe that.

  6. I CONTRIBUTED THE INFORMATION FOR THIS ARTICLE

I think I have better inside information than you and over some fresh made gnocchi tonight Jay said otherwise.

On a more serious note, I would not be totally surprised as he may feel he has peaked and one more year would only take away a year of money in Italy if he doesn't get drafted. I certainly fucking hope this isn't the case but I could see it unfortunately happening.

  8. He may enter the draft without an agent just to see if there is any interest. There probably isn't.

  9. Please try and remember that this is not 100% guaranteed info, its something i heard from an inside source, it is in no way definite. Let's try and read the article people

  10. he's too short and too slow for the NBA anyways who are you kidding

    ReplyDelete
  11. Did your source tell you that he's planning to declare for the draft (and not hire an agent, so he can return if he wants), or did your source say that he's planning to "leave Villanova and not return for his senior year of eligibility"?

  12. No way no how...its not happening. Scotty wouldnt even be drafted in the 1st round and would need to bounce around to make a team. Mark it down. he will play for the Wildcats in 2009 2010

  14. This is why we can't have nice things.. I haven't heard anything about it to this point, but I have heard him directly quoted in the past that as soon as he can he's going to the NBA. To be honest with you, I don't think he'll even make it to the NBA. If he does go, maybe John Wall will fall into our laps just like Scottie did when Kyle left.

  15. Oh and i'm sure that this source is reliable.. we aren't Ed Werder. The question is whether what Scottie said was misconstrued or not. I'll check in with my sources.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Did the source say he's "declaring" or "leaving"? Huge difference.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Anyways folks.. we should have another Mock Draft coming up soon. And later this month we'll most likely be live blogging the NFL draft's first round.

  18. Reynolds is terrible, he would be taken middle of the 2nd round at best.

    ReplyDelete
  19. not only guy posting this, vusports.com posed this rumor a day or so ago.

    ReplyDelete
  20. that rumor came from someone who is connected to the program, too. this has legs

    ReplyDelete
  21. Unfortunately where there's smoke.. there is usually fire. But if Scottie leaves now, he deserves what he gets..

    ReplyDelete
  22. I love how "BREAKING NEWS" is followed up with a "?"

A take straight out of FoxNews.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The source is legit.. It really sounds more and more true now

    ReplyDelete
  24. a guy like scottie will make well into 6 figures playing overseas if the NBA does not work, he'll be fine if he leaves.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Scottie was on 950 last week talking about his NBA options. He said he would sit down and discuss it with Jay. The last shot vs Pitt certainly helped his notoriety, and it is more than likely that his NBA stock will never be any higher than it is now. If the scouts are telling him he could be drafted, I wouldn't be surprised if he declared.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Not to mention that the backcourt is loaded and young, I don't expect Nova to be the top 5 team some say they'll be next year.

He might get even more diluted next year

    ReplyDelete
  27. Scottie doesn't have NBA tools.. if he has a bad pre draft camp, he could end up not even being drafted. He doesn't have a true NBA position..

    ReplyDelete
  28. Of course, FOX News is the only real source of legit news anywhere

    ReplyDelete
  29. The question for me right now is not whether or not Scottie would get drafted or his NBA/Professional skill set or whatever (we can get to that later)... the real question is:

    Is he really leaving Villanova?

Just a question to the author as well: Did your source say he would LEAVE (ie, sign an agent, pack his bags) or DECLARE (ie, test the waters a little bit, no agent, and would most likely come back).

    HUGE DIFFERENCE.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The word my source used was leave, but it is also possible that he meant declare. We will see

    ReplyDelete
  31. Fair enough - I appreciate you trying to inform everyone whats going on and everything and if it ends up not being true i'm not going to be upset at this site or you or whatever....

But with that said, that is an enormous difference, and one that is really stirring the pot here and would be helpful if you figured out.

    ReplyDelete
  32. One thing that is an established fact about scottie is that Villanova wasn't his first choice and he was always somewhat of an outsider. You never see him with the other guys at parties or with girls.. He's definitely somewhat of an odd man out. He carries around a backpack that someone drew an OU on.. when i first saw it i was somewhat offended.. I'm very critical of scottie when he does poorly but very complimentary when he does well but if he leaves he's making a mistake.. See: Michael Bradley

  35. are your sources "sauces" the same as mike francesca?

because then i smell bullshit. but i'm not sure how i feel about this blog doing some real reporting, i kinda like the dick jokes we promise but never produce and the articles nobody would ever want to read. see you guys at the mock draft. probably not.

also, not even the most newsworthy thing on villanova's campus. everyone is into this case of the five fiji pledges stealing from the eagles. huge news.

  36. who is this source? some random source on campus or a valid one like um maybe scottie himself?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Its a very valid source, not scottie

  38. Hey Fact, looks like you added a Big Blue blog to our links, I just tried adding a Boston based blog to even things out a bit here, but doesn't look like you gave me the rights to do that. I'm not calling you racist, but is it because I'm blue? I mean right now I'm just an author, is there any chance for me to get promoted to blogger, with the rights to edit this page, or have I hit the glass ceiling? Seriously though, stop keeping me down, add Barstool Sports to the links, its Boston based, but a great blog in general. boston.barstoolsports.com

    ReplyDelete
  39. Fact is just exhibiting his megalomania again, he's the only blogger really, the rest of us are just writers. He doesn't want to give up even any small bit of control. But Boston sucks ass so in this case it doesn't matter

points of douchebaggery found in this post:

1 - omg a source.!!!111.?1! who could it be? did he make it up? let’s be skeptics because it makes us feel better. cast doubt about that site now and then.
2 - omg blueman doesn’t believe him!! wow, he is on the same staff and isn’t spewing out the same worthless boring information as him. it can’t be true, plus he wears a costume. zomg!
3 - if it isn’t a pay site you know the information can’t be trusted. always true. remember that when you come to mensearching4menibb&w.
4 - he said the word speculation. must mean it is, without a doubt, unequivocally, just mere speculation! (but if it is from a close source to the Villanova basketball family doesn’t that speculation amount to more than your speculation that matsuflex is lying and that scottie won’t go?)
5 - that blog is student run! almost like us! can’t be trusted. i mean what credence can be given to college students knowledgeable enough to get in the competitive university i call my own probably after the competitiveness skyrocketed compared to when i was admitted!!!(whatever that means. probably that you are a lame ass fan who cannot tolerate comedy or criticisms directed at your beloved cats because it would rock your foundation as you have no real sports background until you went to a school with a good bball program.)

chris tell me how my ass tastes.

also, can’t wait for the first response to this saying this post is a testament to the immaturity that can be found at novafacts.blogspot.com. what’s really immature is how much it sounds like chris is getting off in his post to this sense of self-accomplishment for his blog and the superiority he is trying to impose in the situation. if that’s the kind of thing you are into readers than look no further than ibbw–where the news is old and nobody could give a shit about but that won’t stop them from being holier than thou. otherwise, if you don’t need a million new posts a day that provide little substance and would rather get you lack of substance by a few posts every now and then, a couple of dick jokes, some off topic, some humorous pieces, and a real pulse on villanova basketball come see me at novafacts.blogspot.com."
