'Cats Destroy Northeastern 56-7

In front of a near Capacity crowd at Villanova Stadium on Saturday, Villanova unleashed one of their more dominating performances in recent memory as they came away with a 56-7 victory. The 'Cats gashed Northeastern on the ground to the tune of 410 yards including over 100 yards for Junior tailback Aaron Ball even though he didn't play at all in the second half. Perhaps the most impressive thing to note about Ball's performance is that he's been playing with a hip pointer that should have an effect on his ability to be an explosive running back. Another impressive tidbit is that Villanova played its second consecutive game without starting Right Tackle Chidozie Ekweozor, but Jon Bugli did a good job starting in his place. Next week is when the season begins in earnest with a huge game against William & Mary which is televised nationally on Versus. So It should be a big game, and a good crowd is necessary.. so bring everyone you know and make noise next week.
