Recruit: Villanova Football to Announce Big East Move in Sept. UGH

This is getting tedious. Villanova 2012 football recruit Stacey Bedell (William Floyd HS, NY) is saying that Villanova plans to make an announcement on the Big East matter in September.

From Bedell in an ESPN Insider Article:

Bedell committed to Villanova -- a program that won the 2010 FCS national championship -- last Friday, one day after Villanova made its offer. He said Villanova's possible move to the FBS level was a big factor in his decision. He was also considering Army, James Madison, Fordham and Stony Brook.
"It's a great academic school and they told me they're announcing in September that they're going [FBS]," Bedell said. "I wanted to prove to everyone that I can play at that level."
I don't know how much stock to place in this latest development. The coaches at Pennsylvania Government Waste (Temple) proved last week that coaches will say just about anything to land a recruit. If Villanova is really telling this to recruits, and they don't make good on their promise, it could cause some big trouble in recruiting down the line. Let's hope this is true for many reasons.

My reaction:
