- 2008 NCAA 5,000 meter champion Bobby Curtis will be running his first ever marathon in November when he runs the ING New York City Marathon. Earlier this season, Curtis ran 27:24 in the 10,000m, the fastest time by an American this season, and is now the 7th fastest American ever at that distance.
- Jen Rhines will be going to the IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea and will compete at the 10,000 meters. She qualified for both the 5,000 and the 10,000, but decided to only do the 10,000, which is her stronger event.
- Frances Koons will be running in the Falmouth Road Race this Sunday. She's coming off a recent personal best in the 5K.
- Adrian Blincoe and Nicole Schappert will be running the mile at Falmouth tomorrow, Blincoe has a very solid chance at winning the event as he has been running very well as of late and he has the second strongest personal best in the field. Later on this month, he'll be representing his native New Zealand at the World Championships in the 5000 meters.

Track news doesn't bring in the page views like basketball or recruiting, but I cover it anyway because Villanova is good at it and it makes me feel good. There has been some pretty big news over the past week or so in the world of VU track.
