Forget about the result of that game against
Pitt back February
for a minute. The mere fact that
Villanova hosted
ESPN College Gameday in 2011 was exciting, and a pretty big damn deal. The environment inside The Pavilion that morning was perhaps the most electric I can ever remember it.
Unfortunately, a large percentage of students that attended the
Gameday festivities were unable to attended the game, and the atmosphere in the arena was about as dull as you would expect thanks to the pensioners who hold the majority of the season tickets.
