What we are seeing now, is an unprecedented stretch of mediocrity by Villanova. I cannot find another example of Villanova losing two consecutive on campus out of conference games in the last 30 years.

This is becoming a problem, and someone needs to be accountable. I don't know who that is.

  1. Jay Wright's recruiting has fallen off and the program has lost its mojo. Hard to win with average talent and uninspired coaching. Wright is in trouble because the program is at a tipping point. He read his own press clippings, got too comfortable and lazy. This is the result.

  2. This is only going to get worse. With this Big East realignment, recruiting will suffer and fast. The fact is that after this season, the Big East is going to be a mid-tier level conference, it is no longer attractive for the top recruits. I fear that we are looking at an end of what was considered a top level basketball school. Besides cross country/track & field, I really fear for the future of Villanova's athletic programs and it is making me sick to my stomach. Something's gotta give.
