Villanova-Providence Primer

Tomorrow afternoon, Villanova will travel to the Dunkin Donuts Center, America's most awesomely named arena, and a veritable house of horrors for Villanova over the years to take on Catholic Seven rival Providence. At first glance, Providence does not look as if they are that good, carrying only a 9-8 record and starting 1-4 in Big East play, but that is slightly deceiving given that they have already played against Syracuse, Louisville, and Georgetown. Don't get me wrong, they also have a pretty shitty loss to an Ivy League team, but then again, so does Villanova. One thing that has not been on PC's side this year is luck. according to Ken Pomeroy, they are one of the bottom 30 teams in the nation in luck, which is pretty different from Villanova, who were up in the top 50 up until last week and are now perched at 94.

So what does Villanova need to do to win? Basically, they can't let anyone other than Bryce Cotton have a good game, and it would be particularly nice if they prevented Cotton from having a good game.
