Luckily, Villanova is beating Big East teams that are demonstrably worse than them. Today was no different as they took USF to the woodshed, winning 68-40. Again for Villanova, it was the Darrun Hilliard show as the sophomore guard from Bethlehem, PA finished with 17 points. As a team, Villanova shot 52.4% from the field, and went 7-13 from beyond the arc. The rest of the scoring was a team effort, with only JayVaughn Pinkston in double figures with 10. If Villanova hadn't called off the dogs for the last five minutes of the game, they probably would have won by 40.
It's nice to be back in a place where Villanova throttles bad teams.
