Matt Szczur has best month as a professional

Over the last 26 games, former Villanova maestro Matt Szczur has played the best baseball since he committed himself to baseball full time, hitting .340/.416/.450 in 114 plate appearances since June 1. The only comparable stretch of his career would be the first 25 games of his career, when he hit .347/.414/.465 between three levels, but that was as a relatively advanced college hitter in rookie ball, which is often populated by 18 and 19-year-olds right out of high school as opposed to the more advanced opposition in Double-A, where he is now.

Things are moving along nicely.
